A Campfire-Ology for Culture Change

Introduction

When I first mentioned the title of this series of articles to a friend they said "what an extraordinary title" and I guess that many of you will be thinking the same.  The campfire bit will become more and more obvious as the series progress, but the ology needs a little explaining.  The dictionary translates ‘ology' as ‘stuff' which is quite sufficient for this purpose.

Let us first look at the origins and appropriateness of the ‘Fire' metaphor.  This is the high-brow bit which helps put in context the simple message that fire, in any one or all of its modes, can be both the essence of life and change within life as well as the most damning and destructive force known to man.  It is therefore highly appropriate to align the concept of fire to culture change and a simple message for all to follow.

Each article in the series will be published on this site and each artilce will address one specific process required to build, sustain and enjoy a successful campfire - and, of course, relate it to its business meaning.
