Mentoring
Harding & Yorke Mentoring is a learner-focused relationship. Our aim is to provide an appropriate degree of challenge and support (emotional, technical, and informational) so that you can build the competence and confidence to solve your own problems.
Our role is to act as an information source and confident. While this is a very valuable role, it does not necessarily lead to the development of independent problem solving. It is important to balance support with challenge by providing several suggestions or recommendations from which you can choose.
Mentoring can be used at all levels within an organisation however cost often prohibits use below senior management. Whilst understandable this is short sighted and different degrees and levels of Mentoring can be applied throughout an organisation.
The solutions team can design and implement a mentoring scheme which is entirely internally delivered and received. This can encourage team work, eliminate bullying and set positive paths to improvement and promotion.
